Cool Kitez

A few weeks ago we started to learn about kites. Then we thought about making japanese carp. We read a book about them. Then Miss Lewis said "Do you know what, we are going to!". We were so pleased and started right away. It took 3 days to make the carp. Today we flew them. We also flew some other kites as well. We made them today. We made a dragon kite together and I made a small diamond kite with Kelly.
We had to get some straws and tie them together to make a cross. Then we made slits in the end of the straws and stuck wool in the end to make a diamond shape. Then we put some cellophane over it and stuck a small tail on the bottom. Then we flew them. The diamond kite was hopeless but the carp kite flew well. It kept doing flips and tricks all over the place.
Rhys, Shane, Justin and Callum's small kites were the best kites.
Today was not really good for flying kites beause the wind wasn't good. But it was really fun and I loved it!
